Nigerians beware as Al-Qaeda are planning to invade Nigeria Through Northwest U.S alerts Nigeria Government
The Federal Government of Nigeria has been alerted over an ongoing invasion by the deadly terrorist group, Al-Qaeda, through the North-Western region of the country.
The United States claimed to have notified the Nigerian government on Wednesday, August 5 about the development.
Speaking on Wednesday, the Commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command, Africa, Dagvin Anderson who disclosed the development during a press briefing said the dreaded terrorist group is also expanding to other parts of West Africa.
According to the report monitored by Emmason reporter on Daily Post, Anderson revealed that the US government will continue to partner with Nigeria in sharing intelligence.
He said, “We have engaged with Nigeria and continue to engage with them in intel sharing and in understanding what these violent extremists are doing, and that has been absolutely critical to their engagements up in the Borno State and into an emerging area of northwest Nigeria that we’re seeing al-Qaida starting to make some inroads in.”
He reiterated that the US will not relent in sharing intelligence with the Nigerian government to ensure it has full knowledge of what the terrorist group is up to.
Meanwhile, a video clip has emerged on the internet which is believed to have been released by members of the deadly terrorist group, Boko Haram.
The video shows about 100 persons observing the Eid-El-Mubarak prayers under some trees in an undisclosed area.
