STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF SOME ECONOMIC VARIABLES ON GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT AND UNEMPLOYMENT IN NIGERIA

Statistical analysis of the effect of some economic variables on gross domestic product and unemployment in Nigeria was carried out using some statistical techniques. Regression analysis was carried out on the secondary data extracted from the National Bureau of Statistics. The analysis was carried out using SPSS software. The regression model that predicts the effect of the independence variables (government expenditure, money supply and unemployment rate) on gross domestic product is y =360.860-78.339? X?_1 + 0.028X_2+1.059E-6X_3.The result also shows that money supply more to the domestic gross product with 28% and government expenditure with 0.0001059% and unemployment which contribute negatively to the rate of gross domestic product with about 78% in Nigeria and the statistical test also shows that money supply is more statistically significant.
