USERS PERCEPTION OF THE USE OF ACADEMIC LIBRARIES AND ONLINE FACILITIES FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES IN DELTA STATE POLYTECHNIC, OZORO

In this work, students’ perception toward the research facilities such as library and internet facilities is investigation. Some elements that can influence students perception such as purpose for using particular research facilities, requirement before admittance into the use of research facilities among others were used to generate data through the implementation of questionnaire. The Chi-square statistic is used to analyzed the data. Analysis shows that (accepted hypothesis). there is a significant difference in the purpose for which research facilities are visited also there is significant difference in users’ perception and requirement before admittance into facilities.
