DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ANDROID BASED CBT EXAMINATION AND RESULTS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF DELTA STATE POLYTECHNIC OZORO)

Examination is the major and widely accepted means of measuring student ability and understanding. The use of ICT in registering and administering examination has helped in attaining efficiency and error-free results computations. Flexible training, multiple functionalities, stand-alone subject modules, robustness and scalability are some of the major advantages of Android based Computer Based Test (CBT) software. The Android CBT software was developed using Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology. Implementation of the software was achieved using visual studio 2010.Other software development tools include ASP net/VB.net, Microsoft SQL server 2005. The system presents a single platform that could be used to manage examination processes using Android devices thereby addressing the problem of inadequate infrastructure for CBT examinations.
