DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ONLINE/INTRANET OFFICE CHAT APPLICATION (A CASE STUDY OF DELTA STATE POLYTECHNIC OZORO)

In Nigeria offices a lot of time is spent by faculty staff, and lectures in various department moving from one office to another in order to communicate with each other. This project focuses on solving the problem by developing an application for communication services in Nigerian offices using delta state polytechnic as a case study. The chat application is a web base application intended to be accessible from the internet or intranet. This allows the application to be available to both mobile and pc users who can access the internet from their de3vices. The system is implemented using a 3-tier approach, with a backend database (Microsoft Access). ASP.Net, Virtual Basics.Net, Java Script and CSS was used as the system frontend design.
