CAUSES OF STRUCTURAL FAILURES AND REMEDIES(A CASE STUDY OF OKUMAGBA AND AJAMIMOGHA, IN WARRI SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA)

The research is focused on the causes of possible remedies of structural failure in Okumagba & Ajamimogha, Delta State, Nigeria. Data from this study were derived from both site inspection and field investigation. The study attributes of structural failures are se f sub standard materials faulty foundation, excessive loading etc. Considering all of this, the research concluded by suggesting appropriate possible measure to prevent structural failures in Okumagba & Ajamimogha should involve awarding of contracts to competent professionals and strict enforcement of ethical standards by the Engineering families (COREN, NSE, NTE etc).
