THE EFFECT OF HEAVY METALS CONTENT IN DIFFERENT BRANDS OF ENGINE OIL SOLD IN OZORO

Engine oil is used to lubricate the moving parts and internal combustion engines in motorcycles, cars and many other machines. It reduces the friction and cools the engine. It is also used to clean moving parts and prevent corrosion, provide stability and protection. Lubricating oils range from low to high viscosity oils due to hydrocarbons molecules. Lubricants are most important constituent in crude oil. In different engines different types of lubricants are used because they are chemically different and there combustion products are also different. However, engine oil contained some heavy metals that very toxic and dangerous to humans’ if ingested in by any form. Hence, the focus of this seminar is to know the effect of metals that are contained in engine.
