Abstract/Description


This project review the usefulness of types of cement regard to the development strength in concrete made with different types of cement. These are the four types of cement; colour cement, white cement, sulphate resisting cement, and Portland cement. Colour cement cube bring the strength value of the cube on 7days 0.06, 14 days 7.4, 21 days 7, 43 days and 28 days 7.96. white cement cube bring the strength value of the cube on 7 days 5.56, 14 days 6.9, 21 days 104.5 and 28 days 209.7. sulphate resisting cement cube bring the strength value of the cube on 7 days 0.06, 14 days 7.4, 21 days 7.24 and 28 days 7.76. Portland cement cube bring the strength value of the cube on 7 days 10.4, 14 days 14.4, 21 days 122.84 and 28 days 295.82. the mix ratio employed to this project was 1:2:4 water curing method was used and it was cured for 7 days, 14 days, 21 days and 28 days.
