DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN INTELLIGENT ONLINE SHOPPING ASSISTANT FOR E-COMMERCE SITE USING DATA MINING

Data mining has sprouted out as a field of basic and applied research in computer science in general and e-commerce in particular. In this paper, the research surveyed some of the recent approaches and architectures where data mining has been applied in the fields of e-commerce and e-business. Our intent is not to study the plethora of algorithms in data mining; instead, our current focus being e-commerce, we limit our discussion to data mining in the context of e-commerce. We also mention a few directions for further work in this domain, based on the research work. The system design and implementation was achieved through the use of technologies like ASP.Net, while programming language life C# was used in the frontend development. Microsoft access database was used as the system backend. The research methodology adopted for this research work is System Development Life Cycle
