DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ADVANCE NAME DICTIONARY WITH TEXT TO SPEECH INTEGRATION USING MICROSOFT SPEECH ENGINE SDK

This research work is focused on Design and Implementation of Advance Name Dictionary with Text to Speech Integration using Microsoft Speech Engine Software Development Kit (SDK). The research was done to transform the tradition process used by humans for knowing the meaning and origin of their names into an automated format that could help users to know the meaning and origin of their names. The system design was achieved with the used of Visual Studio 6.0 as the system frontend while Microsoft access database was used as the system backend. The research methodology adopted for this system design is Rapid Application Development model. The system was tested with the use of invalid and valid names to know the kind of results that will be generated by the system. The system worked perfect as invalid names generated wrong result and valid names generate good results.
