DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB BASED PRODUCT ADVERTISING SYSTEM WITH SMS NOTIFICATION FUNCTIONALITY(A CASE STUDY OF BRITON SUPERMARKET, OZORO)

This paper describes the architecture and development of a web-based system for producing, gathering and exchange of multimedia advertisements. The advertisements are classified and stored into a database on the server. The information about an advertisement includes free text and a set of values for predefined attributes. Optionally, any other computer file can be attached. A web site has been established and standard browsers can be used to manipulate the data online. The system design and implementation was achieved through the use of technologies like ASP.Net, while programming language life C# was used in the frontend development. Microsoft access database was used as the system backend. The research methodology adopted for this research work is spiral model
