DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB BASED INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR HOTEL/HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT(A CASE STUDY OF OKAY HOTEL OZORO)

This project deals with “Web Based Information System for Hotel/Hospitality Management” it deals with the system of all management and information needs of different sections of the hostel. Most time, the hotel runs into problems of getting necessary information in the section of registration of guest, guest booking and reservation, checking and check out processes of guests, and other section of the hotel use the account and security section. This study leads to the development of “Hotel – MIS (management information system) package” which will help a long way in reducing the problems encountered by the entire management and staff of the hotel. The power of package is also seen in the area where time is to great importance. This package will help immensely in eliminating wasted time in the operation of the hotel service, thereby enhancing effective customer services.However, the precise description of the system design, implementation, documentation and maintenance as well as the language used which is PHP and MYSQL DATABASE is adopted in solving the declared problem.
