This paper aims at application of automatic controllers in street. Nowadays, human has become too busy, and is unable to find time even to switch the lights wherever not necessary. The present system is like, the street lights will be switched on in the evening before the sun sets and they are switched off the next day morning after there is sufficient light on the roads. This project gives the best solution for electrical power wastage. Also the manual operation of the lighting system is completely eliminated. During the testing, it was observed that in the evening around 5pm-6.30pm, it was observed that the automatic streetlight controller was ON by itself. While during the day as early as 6a.m, the light was switched off automatically. While using a darkroom, it was observed that when the room is dark the device switch on automatically and when light enter the dark room, the device was switched off. At the end of the study, the researcher recommended that this device should be put in used in home, private and commercial places such as hotel, hospital, market, street, bank etc. in order to minimize the risk of intruder or an unauthorized person.
