Lipstick is a cosmetic product containing pigments, oil, waxes and emollient that applies colour, texture and protection to the lips. Many colours and types of lipsticks exist as with most other types of makeup, lipstick is typically, but not exclusively worn by women. The use of lipsticks dates back to the medieval times. However, though lipsticks helps in adding to beauty and prevention of hydration, it still contains some heavy metals that makes it unsafe when ingested. Toxicity is caused when manganese, cadmium, chromium, and aluminum accumulate in the body. Women ingest them while eating, accidentally.
