IMPORTANCE OF AMINO ACIDS IN POULTRY FEEDS

Amino acids are the key constituents of protein, and play important roles as regulators in metabolic pathways which are important for maintenance, growth, reproduction and immunity. In this research work, we discussed the different types of amino acids that are very important to poultry as well as their uses. In course of the research, it was discovered that there is a variation in different types of poultry feed. However, it was concluded that the variation in the different feed samples could be due to the different chemical formulations of the feed samples and the purpose for which they were made. It was also recommended poultry owners should feed their birds with specific feed required by the birds at their disposal since each of the feed contains different amount of amino acids that are needed by the birds
