HEALTH RISK ASSESSMENT OF CANNED TOMATOES PASTE
ABSTRACT/DESCRIPTION
Tomatoes is rich in vitamin and mineral content, it is important in nourishment in the body and it is relatively affordable in price. This amount is 3 to 5 times greater than that in the (EU) European and many important producing countries. The large popularity of tomatoes is associated with the mild application in many dishes raw tomatoes are base for Juice, Sauces, Pures, an increase in consumer awareness of the role of proper nutrition in a health lifestyle has led to the introduction of the new product with functional additives on the market in which tomatoes processing by products are used. This research work is focused on the health risk assessment of canned tomatoes paste. It was concluded that the risk assessment of paste tomatoes could be a potential danger. It was recommended that both Federal and State government regulatory agencies should ensure that sachet tomatoes paste manufacture are properly accredited and certified.
