Most business organization indulges in training and development programme for assessing their employees based on their performance towards achieving a predetermined result. The quality of an organization training exercise is frequently the single factor that determines whether the organization will be successful or not. Chapter one of this work is the introductory part which give a brief account of the aims and objectives, relevance of the study and militating research problems, which gives the insight of embarking on such a research topic and the scope of the study Chapter two tend to look at the literature review that is definition of terms. Definition of training and development, organization training policies, the differences between training and development, techniques used to determine training needs, training principles, phases in training process, method of training and develop. Need assessment for training. The role of training and development in Business organization and Evaluation training and development. Chapter three deals with methodology. It was based on both the primary and secondary past project were consulted to review related literature. After careful analysis and presentation of data gathered from a sample of employees, recommendations are made as to how existing weakness are improved. Therefore, a business organization must have a standard by which its employees are evaluated in order to achieve desired goals and objectives. To be able to achieve this effectively, it is pertinent to recommend to the organization to keep and maintain up to date records of performance evaluation done by them. This will enable the company to have a comparative view of the organization to have a comparative view of the employee’s performance
