THE PROBLEMS OF EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE IN HIGHER INSTITUTIONS AND HOW TO SOLVE THEM- A SPECIAL REFERENCE TO IMT ENUGU

This Study was embarked to ascertain what seemed to be the feeling of the public on examination malpractice or cheating in higher institution believed that examination malpractice is on the increase in higher institutions in Nigeria, IMT inclusive. The research surveys how the various institutions in general and IMT in particular attempt to solve this problem through the school disciplinary committee or panel. The problems of this research are that there is no concrete evidence or empirical data to determine that examination malpractice emanated from students alone. Some critiques attack the lecturers, at the other time the peer group or the society at large or the mass media especially the television. It is in the light of the problem that the researcher declared it necessary to find out the problems and causes of examination malpractice.
