THE IMPACT OF PRIVATIZATION ON GOVERNMENT OWNED INDUSTRIES(A STUDY OF POWER HOLDING COMPANY OF NIGERIA (PHCN) WARRI)

This research work focuses on “The impact of Privatization on Government owned industries” (A study of power holding company of Nigeria). In order to extract information for the literature review, text books on privatization of government owned industries and other relevant journals, magazines, seminar and workshop papers on the research topic were used. Questionnaires were used to elicit responses from the sampled respondents, which were analyzed and interpreted using simple percentage. It was discovered from the economy. In the test of hypothesis, it was discovered that there is a significant relationship between privatization programme and the awareness created that privatization has led to increase in business activities and necessary recommendations were made.
