THE EFFECT OF LEADERSHIP STYLE ON EMPLOYEES COMMITMENT AND PERFORMANCE(A CASE STUDY OF FIRST BANK OF NIGERIA, OZORO)

This research was inspired in the need to find among other things the challenges of leadership in banking sector encountered. As a result of this, questionnaire was designed and administered to the employees in first bank Of Nigeria, Ozoro. Among the things discovered was employee’s behaviour under different leadership styles. The relationship between employees leadership and motivation, the relationship that gives room to employees innovativeness and creativity that organization fail to achieve stated objective not as a result of the style adopted. And how best to educate and motivate employees to achieve predetermined objective in an organization. Finally, employee’s commitment and performance is dependent of leadership styles adopted in an organization. On the whole findings of this study support the conclusion that leaders (Managers) are faced with numerous challenges.
