In Nigeria today, there have been an increasing desire for the educational taste and preferences in the social economic ambiance such as differential salary, grading based on qualification gender determination in job selection and scope of coverage. This research work is aimed at finding the gender factor and its effects on student’s enrolment into the office of technology and management department, school of business studies in delta state polytechnic, ozoro. This research work reveal the problems that are responsible for students enrolment which include, parental influence, prestige intellectual ability and teacher’s methodology. All these problems can be encountered by the male student’s mastery practical skills in shorthand and typing, teachers should intensity to learn and assimilate and also government should formulate polices that will encourage male students to enroll into office technology and management.
