This project work is focused on the design and Implementation of web-based Child Birth Information System information in our Country. When a child is born, registration is the first step in ensuring the rights of a child. Registration does not mean only proof of identity, but of existence. Birth information is the confirmation of a child’s nationality, place of birth, parentage, weight and age. In Nigeria today, the country has no Information system of citizens, so there is need to start the automation of information of all citizen in the country, starting at the point of birth. Although a child’s right to an identity is set out in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, millions of children every year are not registered at birth. The system was designed using ASP.Net, VB.Net and Microsoft SQL. The research methodology used is SDLC.
