ABSTRACT/DESCRIPTION

The aim of this project is to develop an automated system with database for voters in various departments of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro which will in turn help the electioneering committee of the Student Union Government to conduct a free and fair election using electronic machines and fingerprint. To replace the current inefficient manual system of voting in the polytechnic where one person can vote more than once, the researcher here proposed this effective application that can keep track of those that have voted, the date the vote, and also track any fraudulent behavior by the system users. The language chosen for the system design is VB.Net and FingerGrx fingerprint SDK was adopted in order to achieve the sole purpose of this work. The research methodology adopted is the rapid application development which was considered fit for this work.
