DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION AN ONLINE\INTRANET OFFICE CHAT APPLICATION

The research focused on the designed and implementation of online/intranet office chat application and Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro was used as the case study. An intranet is a network within an organization that is only accessible to systems in that organization while an online chat system is a system used for instant messaging in a remote network. A file shared through this network is not available to the public but private to the network domain. The research was achieved through the adoption of Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology. RAD model is an incremental software process model that emphasizes a short development cycle of 60-90 days. Its approach to software development put less emphasis on planning and more emphasis on process.
