AN ANDROID BASED MULTILINGUAL LANGUAGE TRANSLATION SYSTEM FOR EASY LANGUAGE LEARNING

This research work is focused on the implementation of an android based multilingual language translation system for easy language learning. The languages where used to test run the performance this system were English to Ibo, French to English and the system proved to be highly reliable. An automated system that could be helpful in translating indigenous language to English language for easy learning was achieved. This system will really be helpful to those that love to learn other languages. A module was integrated in this system design that will function as an engine which converts input to audible form. The programming language that was chosen for the system design is Visual Basic.Net as frontend, SQL Lite as backend and the research methodology used is Rapid Application Development. This methodology was chosen because it will enable the researcher to interact with the proposed system users and collect feedback. The system backend contains over 2000 words in the two languages which it will translate to English on the go. This system does not only convert single word but can also convert a whole sentence to its English equivalent.
