ABSTRACT/DESCRIPTION


This project work is carried out to discuss Statistical Quality Control of Table Water Production (Sachet/Bottle) (A Case Study of Gwake Table Water Company, Ozoro, Delta State), for May, 2019.Water is transparent, tasteless, odourless and nearly colourless chemical substance, which is the main constituent of earth’s stream, lakes and oceans and is the fluid of most living organism. Secondly, Data was obtained from the company of Segwake Table Water, Ozoro. Ogundele (2012) defined Quality Control as the continuous inspection and direction of the result of production or service delivery process to make sure it conforms to customers’ requirement and standard. It is a term used to describe the set of statistical tools used by quality professionals. Fractional defective using the P-Chart was used to analyze the data. On the calculation of the data it was observed that the LCL was -0.101, UCL, was 0.24 and CL was 0.07. In conclusion, it was observed that the highest fractional defective was at the 4th week of production with a high fractional defective of 15% which could be cause by lack of maintenance of equipment and facilities, operators’ error or breakdown. Among may, recommend that the company should employ statisticians that will assist in analyzing Statistical Quality Control in other to help for future use to maximize sales and to increase profit
