##Admission Requirements
For full-time undergraduate programmes:
You must apply via the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and pick UNILAG as your first choice.
You need at least five (5) credits in your O’Level (WAEC/NECO/GCE) or equivalent examinations, in no more than two sittings. Credits must include English Language and Mathematics (and other subjects relevant to your chosen course).
After your UTME (JAMB), you must take the UNILAG Post-UTME / screening exercise and meet whatever score they set.
You must be at least 16 years old by September 30 of the year of admission.
In short: get your O’Level credits, aim for a good JAMB score, pick UNILAG first, sit for their screening, and meet their specific course requirements.
##Tuition / School Fees
Here’s a ball-park of what students pay at UNILAG (undergraduate level).
For most courses without a lab or studio component: about ?100,750 per academic session.
For courses with laboratory or studio work: around ?140,250.
For Medicine and related programmes: approximately ?190,250 per session.
Heads-up: These figures are for “obligatory” tuition/charges; additional costs (accommodation, books, city-living in Lagos, etc.) aren’t included. Also, fees can change, so always confirm with UNILAG’s official website.
##Cut-Off Mark
General JAMB minimum
For the 2025/2026 academic session, UNILAG’s official minimum UTME (JAMB) score is 200. That means scoring 200 or above makes you eligible to apply for their Post-UTME screening.
Departmental / Course-Specific Cut-Offs
That 200 is just the entry ticket. For highly competitive courses (Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Engineering etc.), you’ll need much higher scores or aggregates.
Example: For the Faculty of Arts in 2025/2026, one programme might require a merit cut-off of ~70 (or more) depending on category/state.

##What This Means For You
If you’re aiming for UNILAG, don’t just hit 200 in JAMB — aim higher to stand a good chance, especially for desired courses.
Make sure your O’Level results are clean and complete (5 credits, relevant subjects).
Choose UNILAG as your first choice in JAMB if you want to apply there.
Be prepared for Post-UTME / screening: knowing the weighting helps (UNILAG uses UTME + O’Level + Post-UTME in the mix)
Factor in costs beyond tuition: living in Lagos, transport, books, accommodation—these add up.
