How To Create Sample Text on Microsoft Word 2007

There is a short path to create a sample text:
  • Open a new document
  • Type =rand()
  • Press the Enter
Immediately you press the Enter key, Ms Word will automatically create a sample text as shown below:

You Can Move Around A Document With The Mouse

This can be achieved by simply moving the insertion point to anywhere in the text on your screen. If the document is too large and you intend to place the insertion point somewhere down the screen, just use the scroll bars as shown below:

This can be achieved by rolling your mouse wheel either upwards or downwards.

You Can Move Around A Document With The Scroll Bar

  • Move upward by one line by clicking the upward-pointing scroll arrow
  • Move downward by one line by clicking the downward-pointing scroll arrow
  • Move one next page, using the next page button
  • Move one previous page, using the previous page button
  • Use the Browse Object button to move through the document, going from one chosen object to the next

You Can Move Around A Document With The Keyboard

  • Forward Arrow: To move a character forward
  • Backward Arrow: To move a character backward
  • Upward Arrow: To move a character Up by one line
  • Downward Arrow: To move a character Down by one line
  • PageUp: To go to the previous screen
  • PageDown: To go to the next screen
  • Home: To go to the beginning of the current line
  • End: To go to the end of the current line
  • If you want to move from word to word or from paragraph to paragraph, hold down the Ctrl key while pressing an arrow key. This can be done by:
    • Ctrl + Forward Arrow: To move to the next word
    • Ctrl + Backward Arrow: To move to the previous word
    • Ctrl + Upward Arrow: To move to the beginning of the previous paragraph
    • Ctrl + Downward Arrow: To move to the beginning of the next paragraph
    • Ctrl + PageUp To the previous browse object
    • Ctrl + PageDown To the next browse object
    • Ctrl + Home To the beginning of the document
    • Ctrl + End To the end of the document
    • Shift + F5 To the last place you changed in your document

    You Can Move Around A Document With the Go To Command

    This can be achieved by pressing the F5 key to use the Go To command. This will display a dialogue box where you will have various options to reach to a particular page as shown below:
