Education
Here is the information I found for PAMO University of Medical Sciences (PUMS), Port-Harcourt, Rivers State — covering admission requirements, tuition/fees, and cut-off marks. As with all private universities, details can change; you should verify with the university’s admissions office or website for the most current figures.
##Admission Requirements
For UTME (100 level) candidates: Must sit the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) UTME and make PUMS their first choice.
Must possess five (5) credit passes in SSCE/WAEC/NECO (or equivalent) in relevant subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics (at not more than two sittings).
For the MBBS (Medicine & Surgery) programme: Subject requirement as above and a higher UTME score threshold (see cut-off section).
Applicants awaiting results may be eligible (depending on status) and must upload O’Level results through JAMB CAPS.
Note: Other criteria (such as post-UTME screening, interviews, etc) may apply.
##Tuition / School Fees
For the 2025/2026 academic session:
Faculty of Allied Health Sciences: ˜ ?2,500,000 for year 1 (rises for year 2+ in some sources)
Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences: ˜ ?2,300,000 for year 1.
Faculty of Clinical Sciences (Medicine & Surgery): Approx ?3,000,000 for year 1.
For earlier year (2024/2025): Fees ranged around ?3,000,000 for 100 level and up to ?4,000,000 for higher levels in some faculties.
School Noble
Breakdown example: 100 level – ?3,000,000; 200/300/400 levels – up to ?4,000,000 depending on faculty.
The tuition/fee figure often includes accommodation, feeding and laundry for some levels.
Important note: These are approximate and vary by programme and year. Always check the official fee schedule for your particular course and level.
##Cut-Off Mark
The university lists a minimum UTME score of 170 and above for general admission into many programmes.
For the MBBS programme, a higher UTME score of 220 and above is required in some notifications.
Some sources show a general cut-off mark of 190 and above for many courses in 2025/2026.
One aggregated list gives specific course cut-offs: e.g., Medicine & Surgery: 250; Nursing Science: 220; Medical Laboratory Science: 220; Pharmacy: 240; etc.
