This post will provide information on the overview of the list of the middle belt states in Nigeria as well as provide answers to questions like: How many states in Nigeria make up the Middle Belt? Is Jos Middle Belt? Is Edo State part of Middle Belt? How many geopolitical zones are in Nigeria?
The Middle-Belt is located in central Nigeria interacting with both the North and the South with large population of both Northern and Southern ethnic groups. The Middle-Belt is always in the best position to interpret the North to the South, and the South to the North. The Middle-Belt which was addressed as North Central Zone is presently identified as Middle-Belt region, and widen the scope of the informal sector which to this day cements the platform of national unity, so that the elite in the Middle-Belt behave in the spirit of national unity, as adequately and persistently demonstrated by the people over the years.
There are six (6) in Nigeria and they include;
- North West Nigeria region
- North East Nigeria region
- South West Nigeria region
- South East Nigeria region
- South-South Nigeria Region
- Benue State

- Federal Capital Territory (Abuja)
- Kwara State
- Kogi State
- Niger State
- Nasarawa State
- Taraba State
- Plateau State
- Some southern parts of Kaduna State, Kebbi State, Bauchi State, Gombe State, Yobe State, and Borno State
