Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), located in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Nigeria, stands as a pioneering institution in the nation's private university landscape.  Established in 2006 by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide, JABU holds the distinction of being Nigeria's first entrepreneurial university.  The university is named after Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola (1904–1959), the first spiritual leader of the CAC, and is situated at the site believed to be where he received his divine calling in 1928.

JABU was officially approved by the Federal Executive Council on February 8, 2006, and received its operational license from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on March 6, 2006.  The university commenced academic activities on October 25, 2006, welcoming its first cohort of students.
