She earned her Ph.D in Soil/Environmental Control in 2002. She served as Head of Department of Soil Science, Dean of the Postgraduate School and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) before her appointment in 2021. Her appointment as Vice-Chancellor marked a historic milestone, as she became the first woman to lead FUTO.
