His Imperial Majesty Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III is the traditional ruler of the Owo Kingdom in Ondo State, a respected figure in the Yoruba socio-cultural hierarchy. 

He was appointed and installed as the pioneer Chancellor of FUT Babura during the investiture ceremony in 2024

In his acceptance address, he pledged to support the build-up and advancement of the young institution, with a focus on innovation, character-building and preparing graduates who turn ideas into reality for sustainable development. 

While the Chancellor role is largely ceremonial in Nigerian universities, having a figure of this standing provides prestige and external advocacy for the institution as it builds its identity.
