Enugu State University of Science and Technology was officially established in 1982 as the University of Science and Technology, Enugu by the then Government of Anambra State (Enugu State was part of Anambra until it became a separate entity in 1991). Biography of Professor Aloysius M. I. Eze:
Professor Aloysius M. I. Eze is a distinguished academic with an extensive background in Computer Science and Information Technology. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a Master’s degree in the same field from the University of Lagos, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Before becoming the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Eze held several notable academic and administrative positions within ESUT. He was a Professor of Computer Science, serving in various academic and leadership roles, including:
