##Founding History
The vision for Bingham University was conceived by ECWA in response to the need for higher education institutions that integrate Christian values with academic excellence.  The university was officially licensed by the NUC on January 5, 2005, and commenced academic activities in May 2006 at a temporary site within the ECWA Theological Seminary in Jos.  By March 2008, the university relocated to its permanent campus in New Karu, strategically situated 26 kilometers from Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, Abuja  .

He earned his B.Sc. in Geography from Bayero University, Kano, and proceeded to the University of Ibadan for his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Geography, specializing in Biogeography.  Prof. Ayuba has held various academic and administrative positions, including serving as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.  He is a member of several professional bodies, such as the Association of Nigerian Geographers and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
