Education
Mountain Top University (MTU), situated along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, Nigeria, is a private faith-based institution established in 2015 by the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM). Led by Chancellor Prof. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Elijah Ayolabi, MTU proudly operates under the motto “Empowered to Excel.” Known for its disciplined environment, spiritual ethos, and especially its acclaimed Music Department, MTU fosters a holistic blend of academic and character development.
In this post you are going to learn about the admission processes such as admission requirements, tuition fees, cut off marks needed as a prospective student before applying for MTU admission.
##Admission Requirements
UTME Admission (100-Level):
Must have five (5) credit passes at O’Level (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), including English Language and Mathematics, achieved in not more than two sittings .
Must meet the MTU JAMB cut-off mark (see below), choose MTU as the institution of choice, and successfully pass the Post-UTME screening exercise .
Admission is competitive; higher JAMB scores improve chances, but meeting the cut-off alone doesn't guarantee admission .
##Cut-Off Marks
The general JAMB cut-off for MTU was 180 for both UTME eligibility and departmental thresholds.
For the 2025/2026 session, updated information indicates a possible cut-off of 160, with certain competitive courses requiring significantly higher JAMB scores—e.g., Medicine (250), Law (240), Computer Science (210) .
