Umuchu is one of the major towns in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. It is located near the boundary between Anambra and Imo States. The town is accessible by road from Umunze to the east and Igbo-Ukwu to the northwest. Umuchu is predominantly inhabited by the Igbo people, and the town also lends its name to the local Igbo dialect spoken there.
