##Motto

##Founder

##History
The history of FUTIA is relatively brief but significant in its implications. In June/July 2021, the Federal Government approved the establishment of the Federal University of Technology in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State.

Infrastructure development has also begun: for instance the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) commissioned a utility building at the university’s permanent site in May 2025.

During his installation in July 2025, he pledged his commitment to attract development and support the institution’s growth, including instituting a “Chancellor’s Award of Excellence” for outstanding student performance
